According to sources Eddie sent Mel at letter that reads in part: “You have been engaging in a pattern of disseminating disparaging, negative and defamatory statements about Mr. Murphy, portraying him in a false and outrageous light in order to pressure Mr. Muprhy to capitulate to your highly unreasonable extortionate demands. We demand that you immediately cease and desist from this wrongful conduct.” The alleged letter goes on to say, "in a calculated effort to smear his reputation, thereby hoping to induce him to accede to outrageous extortionate demands if he wants you to stop your dissemination of negative statements." The letter also claims, “On Ms. Brown’s behalf, Ms. Allred has demanded that [Eddie] my client not only pay very substantial child support, but that he also buy a $9 million house in Malibu and pay for all associated expenses for Ms. Brown to reside there for free for the next 18 years.” The letter also claims the Eddie was told if these demands were met everybody would, "shut up".

I am glad he did something...I am tired of seeing her mug plastered everywhere. Are we supposed to take pity because this has-been got knocked up and is trying to take Eddie to the cleaners? Her child will hate her when she gets older and Daddy sends a check but won't have anything to do with them. How did those two hook up anyway?

Despite canceling their nuptials scheduled to occur earlier this week, the on-again, off-again wedding of Usher and his pregnant fiancee was finally on -- and held quietly Friday, sources told Stella's Column late Friday night.
The multiplatinum singer married his longtime girlfriend, Tameka Foster, who is several years older than he, during a private ceremony in his lawyer's office in Atlanta on Friday, sources said.

Among those present was Usher's mother, Jonetta Patton, who, it has been widely reported, staunchly disapproved of the marriage. Foster was reportedly largely responsible for Usher firing his mom as his manager last May.

VING RHAMES DOGS KILL MAN

In a tragic story, a 40-year-old worker living on Ving Rhames’ property was attacked and died at the hands of his guard dogs. The caretaker’s body was found outside the gates of the actor’s Brentwood mansion.

At 7:15am yesterday, police found the worker’s body on Rhame’s front lawn. According to officials, he had “numerous punctures from bites on his arms, legs and body,” that may have caused his death.

R.KELLY TRIAL DATE SEPT. 12

CHICAGO -- R. Kelly will go on trial next month, more than five years after he was charged with child pornography.

Judge Vincent Gaughan has set a Sept. 17 date for the start of a jury trial, according to the Cook County state's attorney's office.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported on its Web site that setting of the date followed a lengthy meeting Wednesday among the judge, the lead prosecutor, the R&B singer and his lawyers.

Kelly, who was born Robert Sylvester Kelly, has pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of child pornography. He was charged in 2002 and is accused of allegedly engaging in videotaped sex acts with an underage girl.

Kelly's attorneys haven't conceded that he is on the tape, saying his likeness may have been computer generated. They have also tried to raise doubts about the identity and age of the girl.

The case has been hit with delay after delay. Since being charged, Kelly has had six best-selling albums and three nationwide tours.

WHAT U TALKIN BOUT, OFFICER?!

PROVO, Utah (AP) - Former child star Gary Coleman was cited for disorderly conduct after witnesses said they saw him in a heated argument with a woman in a parking lot.

Coleman, 39, and the woman were in his vehicle discussing their relationship Friday night when two people saw him hit the steering wheel with his hands, Capt. Cliff Argyle said.

''Mr. Coleman was very excited and loud. ... At one point he exited his vehicle, waving his arms, yelling and screaming,'' Argyle said. ''Vehicles were unable to exit the parking lot because of Mr. Coleman's actions.''

He cooperated with officers who were called to the scene, Argyle said.

The disorderly conduct citation is a misdemeanor punishable by up to three months in jail and a $750 fine.

''What the city attorney proceeds with, I don't know,'' Argyle said. ''It could end up being an infraction'' similar to a traffic violation.

A number for Coleman could not be found Tuesday.

Coleman moved to Santaquin, about 55 miles south of Salt Lake City, in 2005, around the time he starred in ''Church Ball,'' a comedy based on basketball leagues formed by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Coleman once fought a bitter legal battle with his parents over whether he was fit to handle his own affairs. In 1999, he pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace after he punched an autograph-seeker he claimed insulted him.

DMX ORDERED TO PAY $242K

July 25,2007, DMX was ordered by court to pay $242K to Amusing Diversions Inc,for not starting a clothing line as planned. The rapper's clothing line is called Boomer 129, after DMX's dog.
